Getting Involved

COVID-19 Response for 2020 and for 2021 Little Red Schoolhouse:

No Volunteers are needed at this time. Please do not contact the addresses below at this time. We will NOT need volunteers.

You can still help by donating whatever you can to www.redschool.org. or by sending a check to Little Red Schoolhouse, PO Box 6302, Olympia, WA 98507

Because of Covid-19 guidelines, changes to this information may be updated as we get closer to August 2021.


Getting involved is easy. We are continually looking for volunteers to help us throughout the year. There are varied opportunities. You can do a little or a lot.

To volunteer for any of the opportunities listed below, please call Family Education and Support Services @ 360-754-7629, or email volunteer@redschool.org.

  1. Volunteer to pick up and wash gently used coats from a local schoolís lost and found. Many schools are already participating.
  2. Sponsor a fundraiser or collect school supplies or socks at your work place, community organization or church.
  3. Shop the back to school sales and donate items.
  4. Distribution Day - at Komachin Middle School. There are numerous tasks to perform. However, for the protection of the children, volunteers must have prior approval by the Little Red Schoolhouse committee and show driverís license at check-in on Distribution Day. We will be signing you up for a 2-3 hour timeslot.

Contact your local school for supplies from LRS after August 31st. No open Distribution of supplies this year.
